Hi! Thanks for writing for me for Fic-In-A-Box! FIAB is one of my favourite exchanges because I love the different range of things I can create and get gifted for it – I’ve opted in for Any Nominated Medium and Length and I’d love to see whatever you create, whether it’s fic, art, or literally anything. I sometimes find it difficult to write prompts that work for things other than fic as I mostly write myself, but please know that I have requested characters, ships, and fandoms that I know I will love and appreciate whatever is created for me, be it fic or anything else <3

I’ve put together a list of my general likes and DNWs (also on my sign up) as well as some prompts and some incoherent thoughts about what I’ve requested. Feel free to use them as inspiration, or to do literally anything you want

General likes:
- gender politics, anything exploring the way people of different genders go through life and the different things they deal with – systematic sexism, being married out of their family, pregnancy, etc. I also love anything that plays with gender eg cisswap (including gender bending a m/m ship to an m/f ship), trans characters, and bonus fantasy gender dynamics like omegaverse (I also enjoy mpreg in all its various flavours)

- whump, angst, hurt/comfort, dark!fic I – also enjoy fluff and humour as well! I make sure to emphasise that I enjoy the darker side of things because you kind of need to for gifts, but if you want to write some cracky nonsense please don’t feel put off lmao

- alternate universes – whether its canon divergence or everything’s the same but they have wings or anything really

- found family – can be platonic or romantic or sexual or something in between, as long as they’re all insane about each other

- ambiguous relationships – are they platonic or romantic or familial or what. Who knows

- arranged marriages – whether they fall in love or just end up as platonic life partners, I enjoy the strangers to lovers vibes

- polyam in all shapes and forms

- ace and/or aro headcanons

- I am just as fine with the pairs being one-sided, or not end game, as I am with them ending up in a long and happy relationship. I fully subscribe to the idea that sometimes shipping is about ‘wouldn’t it be fucked up if…’. So feel free to like kill one half of the pairing and have the other try to move on with their life, or have the pairings be no-strings-attached friends-with-benefits situations that aren't intended to last for a long time. Or have them be happily-ever-after married that's also good I do also like that

DNWs
- graphic descriptions/depictions of eye trauma

- horror as a genre (obviously mileage may vary on what counts as ‘horror’, but please err on the side of caution, especially for visual media)

Some notes:

- I opt in to remixes/sequels of my own/you the author’s own fic

- Any fandom that had multiple canons (novel, live action show, animated show, etc etc) or where there are prequels and sequels that are technically different fandoms I’m fine with any combination of canon within the fic, even if it’s requested only for one specific version of it. Life’s too short to get stressed about canon

- Characters can be shipped with anyone you want unless you’re writing for a requested pairing. I don’t have my heart set on a specific relationship for a specific fandom

The Blood of Youth

WB: Any (少年歌行 | The Blood of Youth (Live Action TV)); WB: Xueyue City (The Blood of Youth)

- this show has such a wealth of worldbuilding and characters and etc already there and I would love anything related to it. I’m especially interested in how anything actually gets done in Xueyue City when two of the city masters are AWOL

- variations on the found family and ambiguous relationships and polyam themes. I just love the idea of these guys being together

- I think they’re CUTE I love the way they’re gremlins and wind each other up

Ji Xue/Lei Wujie/Sikong Qianluo/Tang Ze/Xiao Se | Xiao Chuhe

- ok but I’ve been thinking about the idea that there’s some sexual relationship involved with the Guardians of Tianqi, possibly making them more powerful (??), and how this would be super super weird when Tang Ze turns up because he’s just not Tang Lian.

Solo: Tang Lian

- Tang Lian is my favourite character in anything ever. Even just looking at him makes my day. I love him

Tang Lian/Tiannü Rui | Fairy Lady Rui

- I love the way that Lian is in love with Rui but doesn’t know how to express it, the way she flirts with him and he is embarrassed by it, I love the fact they call each other Lian and Rui. I’d love to see how their reunion goes post ep26

Tang Lian/Xiao Se | Xiao Chuhe

- I don’t know what it is about these two, but I love them. I think its the fact that they’re the oldest of the Youths and the way they both take a lot of responsibility onto their own shoulders

Tang Lian & Tang Ze; Tang Lian & Tang Lianyue; Baili Dongjun & Tang Lian

- Tang Lian and his interactions with people outside of the Youths are so important to me, because we barely see him react with either of his shifu, and we don’t get to see him interact with Tang Ze at all but there has to be some background there, right?????? I’d love to see something precanon about these

Ji Xue/Xiao Se | Xiao Chuhe/Ye Ruoyi; Ji Xue/Ye Ruoyi; Xiao Se | Xiao Chuhe/Ye Ruoyi; Xiao Se | Xiao Chuhe & Ye Ruoyi; Xiao Se | Xiao Chuhe & Xiao Lingchen

- anything about the goings on in Tianqi City before the execution of Xiao Ruofeng would be son interesting to me. I don’t really see any of the / relationships as endgame – I’m more interested in them as teenagers discovering themselves, first crushes, or friends-with-benefits type arrangements

Xiao Chong | Prince Bai/Zang Ming

- I’m obsessed with the fact that neither of them will ever be able to see how the other one looks at them. There’s a lot of #powerdynamics going on and I don’t know how a relationship between them would ever happen. A lot of requited unrequited pining

Sikong Changfeng & Sikong Qianluo

- there’s that one bit where there are fireworks and SQL talk about how her father used to put her up on his shoulders to watch them and I can’t get it out of my head

Dashing Youth

WB: Any (少年白马醉春风 | Dashing Youth (Live Action TV))

- as with TBoY there’s so much worldbuilding going on (and none of it makes ANY SENSE). Any expansion on anything would be so interesting to me, especially linking between the two shows

Solo: The Eight Young Masters of Beili (Dashing Youth); Mo Xiaohei/Liu Yue

- I could have watched a whole show just about these guys. That scene where they all get drunk? Amazing, beautiful, I love it. I’d enjoy anything about any of their relationships and interactions with each other. I think Xiaohei and Liu Yue are definitely fucking (but I don’t mind if you don’t)

Lei Mengsha/Xiao Ruofeng; Lei Mengsha/Li Xinyue/Xiao Ruofeng; Lei Mengsha & Xiao Ruofeng

- I think XRF has a huge massive unrequited crush on LMS, and I have no idea if LMS is aware of this. LXY definitely is, though. Whether she chooses to do anything about it is a different matter (though that’s the only way I can see something actually happening at all)

Ji Ruofeng/Li Xinyue/Sikong Changfeng/Tang Lianyue/Xiao Ruofeng

- as with TBoY I just have this idea about the Guardians of Tianqi fucking to increase their power or whatever. Before DY actually released and gave any indication about their ages I had this headcanon that Li Hanyi was a product of this, which doesn’t work at All with canon, but if you wanted to throw canon in the bin… Staying within canon this is ripe for weird and complicated and mildly uncomfortable feelings

Baifa Xian | Mo Qixuan/Ziyi Hou | Zi Yuji

- my biggest shock from DY for me was ‘the white-haired deity from the beginning of TBoY was HOT?????’ I love Wuxin’s hot gay uncles.

Xiao Ruojin/Ye Dingzhi | Ye Yun/ Yi Wenjun

- this is such a ‘polyamory to solve a love triangle’ vibe. Or possibly a ‘love triangle makes everything worse’

Solo: Yi Wenjun

- YI WENJUN DID NOTHING WRONG AND I LOVE HER. She was used as a pawn and tried her best to escape herself and then was manipulated in a way that there was really no way for her to act otherwise. She deserves to be free of all the bullshit Men TM and run away into the jianghu to do whatever she wants forever

Baili Dongjun & Ye Dingzhi | Ye Yun & Yi Wenjun; Baili Dongjun & Wen Hujiu; Baili Chengfeng/Wen Luoyu & Baili Dongjun

- anything about Baili Dongjun’s childhood and his relationships with his parents would be so good. I love his parents and his uncles So Much.

The Disguiser

Ming Cheng & Ming Lou; Ming Cheng & Ming Jing; Ming Cheng & Ming Jing & Ming Lou & Ming Tai

- I love this family of liars. Ah-Cheng is my favouritist but really I love them way they all love each other and I’d love anything about them

Ming Cheng/Ming Lou

- oh man. The ambiguous relationship of all time. They’re brothers they’re lovers they’re master and servant they’re boss and secretary they’re definitely fucking

Ming Cheng/Ming Lou/Wang Manchun

- I just can’t stop thinking about proxyfucking. The bit where Ming Cheng puts the necklace on Wang Manchun and they’re both thinking about Ming Lou. Insane

Ming Lou/Wang Tianfeng

- these two are SO divorced, and they’re gambling over custody of Ming Tai. Normal Behaviour from Normal Men

Cheng Jinyun/Ming Tai/Yu Manli

- fuck the stupid love triangle. They should all three be together. The girls should team up to bully Ming Tai. He deserves it

Kill Me Love Me

Mei Lin/Murong Jinghe; WB: Any (春花焰 | Kill Me Love Me (TV))

- I would literally take anything for this fandom. I feel very feral about them. The ending killed me (I think it was good and in character. But still. Dead). Maybe they can just live in the village the rest of their lives and forget about revenge and be happy (I mean in canon they would literally never but MAYBE IN AN AU)

A League of Nobleman

WB: Any (君子盟 | A League of Nobleman (TV))

- so much of this show was cut by the censors ;-; what do you think they were hiding???

Lan Jue | Lan Peizhi/Wang Yan | Wang Mowen/Zhang Ping; Chen Chou/Lan Peizhi/Emperor Wang Xuan/Wang Mowen/Zhang Ping; Lan Jue | Lan Peizhi/Zhang Ping

- I personally see like all/most of them as a big polycule who aren’t necessarily all dating each other. I think this would be confusing (especially to poor Chen Chou, whether he’s part of it or not) and also very very funny

Gu Qingzhang & Zhang Ping

- they’re BROTHERS. They grew up together and Zhang Ping FORGOT and Shulin went EVIL and AUGH my HEART

Gu Qingzhang/Lan Jue | Lan Peizhi

- they’re were Definitely Fucking on that island and then Shuln disappeared and then he Reappeared but Evil and again. They’re so complicated and I’d love anythign about their feeligns

Chen Chou/Wang Yan | Wang Mowen

-I just like the idea of these two getting together while Peizhi and Zhang Ping are dancing around other. They’d probably sort everything out SO fast

Oh My General

- this is SUCH a show and the fact there’s no fandom around it is actually tragic.

- they’re both so Gender TM. She was a boy, he was a girl, etc

- HULI THE MAN THAT YOU ARE. He’s a soldier he’s a poet he’s madly in love with his commanding officer he’s a hot spy in the enemy camp. I love him

Fan Zhongyan/Hu Qing/The Emperor

- I love random crackships. Fan-daren is one of my favourite characters for no discernable reason and I can just see the emperor being like ‘you two, the only competent people in my whole court. You’re my harem now’

Concubine Yang & Meiniang & Xuan'er & Ye Zhao

- girls being FRIENDS I LOVE THEM

Hu Qing/Ye Zhao/Zhao Yujin

- this is post-canon. To me. I’m ignoring that Huli got married because that was just so contrived.

Hu Qing/Prince Yinuo

- I just think it would be funny if Huli seduced Yinuo like Liu Xiyin seduces his older brother.

Hu Qing & Liu Xiyin

- Spy Besties. They’re undercover and causing problems (and both in love with Ye Zhao (who isn’t)) and I wish we got to see them interact more

Side Story of Fox Volant

Ok I can’t lie I don’t have a ton of prompts or ideas for these guys BUT I love the show a lot and it deserves 100000000 more fanworks than it has. I hereby give free creative reign to anyone who wants to write Fox Volant: you can gift it to ME and I’ll be jumping up and down and clapping my hands (i’m aware this isn’t helpful prompt-wise but alas I’m out of brain)

- THE show of all time. You could actually give me anything about any of the characters in this show and I would be so !!!!! about it. All the minor characters have their own personalities and I’d love to know how everything actually works

Meng Zhi/Xiao Jingyu

- I'm so sorry I came up with this rare pair on my rewatch and I'm literally just obsessed with them. MCS called Meng 'da-ge' because he was dating Jingyu-gege (I'm aware this isn't how it really works but AUGH). There's just so much Tragedy going on. Stalwart Commander Meng spending a decade loyally serving the Emperor who killed his lover. Or maybe he did save him and he lives in disguise in Meng-dage's house.

Meng Zhi/Mu Nihuang; Meng Zhi & Mu Nihuang; Mu Nihuang/Yan Yujin

- I'm a big fan of AUs where the Emperor forces Nihuang to marry someone, and I think these are all fun options. Whether the relationship ends up being particularly romantic or not is up to the author's discretion

Lin Chen/Xiao Jingyan

- They have nothing in common except bonding over bullying Mei Changsu to look after himself (or mourning him if you want the sad version) (and I'm always happy to receive the sad version *eyes emoji*) and they probably HATE each other and yet I think in an opposites attract kind of way I think they'd be so fun

Xiao Jingrui & Xie Bi & Xie Qi; Xiao Jingrui & Zhuo Qingyao; Xiao Jingrui & Yan Yujin

- poor Jingrui’s family life is just SO complicated and I’d love anything that looks at how he and his siblings feel about each other and his place in their families, and how that might reflect on Jingrui’s friendship with Yujin – does he use it to escape from the weirdness at home? Is Yujin the only person he feels normal with?

Consort Jing & Lin Chen

- we don’t know a lot about Consort Jing’s past and I’d love to read more about her relationship with the Lins of Langya Hall and especially my favourite asshole Lin Chen. She could even have been a Lin of Langya Hall with Lin Chen as her baby brother/cousin/something, which would be SO interesting (and also Make Lin Chen Jingyan’s uncle which I think would be very funny)

- FOUND FAMILY FEELINGS AUGH

- can Yan Que possibly make up for 20+ years of being a deadbeat? Somehow still manages to be the least bad dad in the show

- I love women and I wish that MXTX gave even the slightest amount of shit about them. I’d love to see Jiang Yanli or Qin Su take some modicum of control in their lives (to be fair, Qin Su does this in canon we just don’t get to see it). I’m fine with them being shipped with literally anyone at all

Jiang Yanli & Lan Xichen; Jiang Yanli & Lan Xichen & Nie Mingjue

- Older Sibling Squad. I think Jiang Yanli would be able to solve most of these guys’ [and JGY’s] problems if only she were allowed to do anything (:

- look. I just think Wen Xu is so interesting, mostly because he’s not even in canon for 5 minutes. Whether they end up falling in love or not… up to you ;)

Lan Yuan | Lan Sizhui & Wen Xu

- in canon a-Yuan is definitely not Wen Xu’s son but like. What if he was though. His other parent could be an unnamed Wen-furen or any of the characters listed above, which would definitely add another layer of angst – does baby a-Yuan still end up in the labour camp????

Jin Zixuan/Jiang Yanli & Meng Yao | Jin Guangyao

- I love AUs where Jin Zixuan and/or Jiang Yanli manage to help Jin Guangyao out and then they all get to live happily ever after (with a dead or deposed Jin Guangshan)

Jiang Cheng/Jin Guangyao

- I actually think these two would be very well suited (to be clear, NOT because I think they’re evil or villains or something: I like both of these characters more than I like Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, I think they react to things reasonably and proportionally); I’d be interested in this happening in an AU where everything doesn’t go off the rails (so like Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan don’t die) or maybe these two getting together means that everything doesn’t go off the rails
