If you've got your own thoughts/headcanons/ideas I would also be super happy to read them - it's always more fun to read when the person writing is having fun themselves! I’m happy for any pairings with character requests, and for any non-requested pairings to be in the background as long as the focus is on requested pairings

I will never turn down more opportunities to nominate my crack rarepair inspired by my personal and not very likely conclusion as to why Lin Shu|MCS is so close to Meng Zhi – in my headcanon Lin Shu is the only person who ever knew about it (because he’s nosy) and that’s why he calls Meng da-ge (I’m Aware this isn’t how it works)

OR I think a fun canon-divergence would be that instead of having Prince Qi killed the emperor marries him off to his extremely loyal and politically neutral captain of the guards – how many people are aware that this happened is optional

He’s her brother who she met when he was 17 and she was 10-12ish (what are ages) and then there are 7 years until canon starts. What sort of shenanigans did they get up to?
We only see a bit of SQL’s grief after The Event but she’s known TL the longest of all of them. How was she coping off-screen?
